Luo Dongchuan

Luo Dongchuan, Ph.D. (Peking University), is a senior judge (Grade 1) of China. He was a member of the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People's Court; President of the Fourth Civil Tribunal of the Supreme People's Court; supervisor for pot-doctors at the China Institute of Applied Jurisprudence; professor at the National Judge College; professor at the IP Academy, Renmin University; research fellow at the International IP Research Center, Peking University; vice-president of the IP Law Association of China; standing council member of the Civil and Commercial Law Association of China; vice-director of IP Division of the Supreme People's Court; vice-director of the Research Department of the Supreme People's Court; director of the China Institute of Applied Jurisprudence; and vice-director of the Department of Politics of the Supreme People's Court.

Luo's published works include Guidelines for Hearing IP Cases, Application of the Interpretations for Patent Law, Collection of IP Judicial Decisions, Studies of Remarkable Patent Cases, Studies of Chinese Patent Cases, etc. He has also published numerous academic articles in IP field.
