Lorelie Brown
After a semi-nomadic California childhood, Lorelie Brown attended high school in Orange County and joined the US Army. She traveled the world from South Korea to Italy before settling in Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Pakside with a BA in history in 2022.
During her career, Lorelie published two dozen works of romantic fiction. In 2016, Far From Home became the first lesbian romance nominated for a RITA Award. She also won a Foreword INDIE Bronze and multiple RT Book Reviews awards.
In 2023, Lorelie passed away following a valiant fight against cancer. She leaves behind three sons. Her literary estate is managed by her partner, Carrie Lofty, who co-wrote with Lorelie under the name Katie Porter.
