Lolla Stewart has lived on remote Aboriginal communities in the ‘top end’ of Australia for six years. The resilience, independence and joy of the children she has taught there inspired this text. Prior to this adventure, she taught adults in Melourne creative writing and worked as an editor and reviewer.
