Lizzette Martinez

Lizzette Martinez is the survivor and silence-breaker featured in the Emmy-nominated documentary Surviving R. Kelly, Parts 1 & 2. She was one of the first women to come out about the singer publicly to BuzzFeed in 2018. Perto Rican and from a musical family, Lizzette, an aspiring vocalist, was seventeen when she met R. Kelly at a Miami mall. Her story has been featured on Good Day LA, Access Hollywood, E News, the New Yorker, The Wrap, Inside Edition, Univision, and numerous other media outlets. She lives in Miami and has started a nonprofit organization, Delia's House, which offers safe homes for victims and survivors of abuse.
