Leanne TeohDr Leanne Teoh is both a practising dentist and registered pharmacist. At The University of Melbourne, she holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Dental Therapeutics at the Melbourne Dental School and coordinates the Dental Therapeutics program forthe Doctor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Oral Health courses. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles on medicine use in dentistry, and her main research interest is dental prescribing, with a focus on antibiotic and opioid stewardship. She was a member of the Expert Group for the Australian Therapeutic Guidelines Oral and Dental (Version 2) and is on the Editorial Board for the journal BMC Oral Health. As an invited speaker, Dr Teoh has presented both locally and internationally in various forums, including the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration, FDI World Dental Federation and the International Association for Dental Research. She continues to provide educational lectures, webinars and podcasts for various health professional groups around Australia. She also maintains clinical work in private practice dentistry.
