Lawrence Hoffman

Lawrence Hoffman is a retired NYPD detective with more than twenty years of service. He began his career as a uniformed officer patrolling the streets of Brooklyn North in 1984 and was later assigned to Brooklyn North Narcotics, where he earned th rank of detective. Following a highly successful long-term investigation, he was assigned to the Organized Crime Investigation Division, ultimately serving on the prestigious Federal HIDTA Task Force.

As a 9/11 first responder, Hoffman brings an authentic voice shaped by real-world experience to his storytelling.

Lawrence has also been a proud member of SAG-AFTRA since 2000 and has appeared in acclaimed productions including Law & Order, The Sopranos, Life on Mars, The Taking of Pelham 123, A Beautiful Mind, and Break the Stage.

Hoffman is the Literary Titan Award-winning author of the memoir Turning Blue: A Life Beneath the Shield as well as the fiction novel Cour Four. He was also featured in Great Writers You Should Be Reading magazine.

He currently lives in Florida and continues pursuing his passion for creating stories that resonate on both page and screen.
