Laura Erickson CarterLaura Erickson Carter has owned and operated Carter Publishing Studio, Inc., a publication design and layout firm, since 1997, and she launched the publishing imprint Sweetspire Press in 2018. She is an avid gardener who spends much of her spare timemaintaining an organic raised bed system she and her father share, overlooking a small lake on her parents' rural property. When not designing books and magazines or digging in the dirt, she enjoys cooking, singing, listening to music, reading, theater (especially plays written by daughter Emma Carter), and genealogy.
