Laszlo P. KollarLászló P. Kollár is Professor and vice-Head of the Department of Structural Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Hungary. He received his PhD and Habilitation from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, andhis Doctor of Sciences from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He was elected to the Academy in 2007, and to the Academia European in 2012, and has been a Visiting Professor in the departments of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and of Civil Engineering, at Stanford University in the USA. He has published over 150 technical papers, as well as three books on the subject of structures, and has served widely as a consultant on the design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
