Ladislav KlimaLadislav Klíma was born August 22, 1878 in the western Bohemian town of Domazlice. His major inspirations were Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, and Edgar Allan Poe. During his lifetime he was known primarily for his philosophical works. While only part of Klma's oeuvre was published before his death, numerous manuscripts were edited posthumously, among which were his stories and correspondence. Many manuscripts he destroyed himself.
