L John LawrenceL. John Lawrence has added "novelist" to a distinguished resume of achievement. As a career Air Force officer he served in the military space program, participating in ballistic missile tests, launch of various military spacecraft, and support of theApollo space program. As NASA prepared for the first Space Shuttle launch, he was invited to join the team at Johnson Space Center, Houston. He ultimately held several executive-level positions in the Shuttle and Space Station programs, both in Houston and at NASA Headquarters, Washington. Subsequently, Lawrence was a candidate for US Congress, an ambassador for the humanitarian Global Peace Initiative, a business executive, and served on several boards of directors. He has been a prolific writer even during his professional career, authoring innumerable journal articles and professional publications, and has won several awards for fiction. Lawrence received a bachelor's degree cum laude from Texas A&M University, a Masters Degree from Golden Gate University, and a Ph.D. from U.S. International University.
