Koichi Ohno

Koichi Ohno was born in 1945 at Hokkaido in Japan. He graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1968, and he obtained the degree of Doctor of Science in 1973. For 1975-1977 he was a Ramsay memorial fellow in UK. He became an academic staff of the niversity of Tokyo, as Research associate (1972-1980), Associate professor (1980-1989), and Professor (1989-1994). Then, he moved to the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Tohoku University. After he retired from Tohoku University, he became a Fellow at Toyota Physical and Chemical Research Institute for 2009-2013. From 2013, he has been the Director at Institute for Quantum Chemical Exploration.
