Kip Smithhe author became pastor of Bethany Church in Ellicott City, MD, in September 1991, after receiving his Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Pastor Kip was called into ministry after a successful career in bsiness as a Certified Public Accountant and a founding partner in Royster & Smith, CPA's of Winston-Salem, NC. He and his wife, Debbie (an ordained deacon), were called into ministry after taking the discipleship training study, Masterlife, by Dr. Avery Willis.
