Kevin Lee Weaver

Kevin Lee WeaverKevin Lee Weaver was born and raised in a small farming town in northwestern New York, where he first preached to tree stumps and woodland creatures in the forests around Holley. That childhood dream-to be a preacher-never left him. After relocating o Arizona in 1978, Kevin graduated from Mountain View High School and soon met his wife, Tammy. They married in 1982, the same year Kevin was licensed as a minister with the Assemblies of God.Over the decades, Kevin has served as a youth pastor, assistant pastor, evangelist, and chaplain, eventually settling in Show Low, Arizona, to raise a family in the cool pine country of the White Mountains. There, he and Tammy raised four children and are now the proud grandparents of sixteen. Their entire family remains rooted in the same mountain region.Kevin is ordained through Chaplain Fellowship Ministries International and completed Clinical Pastoral Education through Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa. He also holds a degree in Pastoral Counseling and Thanatology, and he received the President's Volunteer Service Award in 2003.Now worshiping apart from formal religious institutions, Kevin focuses his time on family care-including supporting a grandson with special medical needs-part-time work with his son, and community service (such as manning Girl Scout cookie booths). He's also a self-published author of four children's books, including Thunder-n-Lightning and Lebron Visits North Nyes Pond, and a poetry collection titled Where the Wind Goes, drawn from years of ministering to the dying. In addition to writing, Kevin is an amateur ventriloquist, a songwriter, an enthusiastic ukulele player, and a natural storyteller. Mr. Mike's Lone Pine Cabin for Abandoned Children showcases his gift for blending imagination, humor, and heart-a tribute to the healing power of family, faith, and old-fashioned wonder.
