Kevin HamiltonKevin Hamilton has now lived longer in his current home of Urbana, Illinois than he lived in his birthplace of Greenville, South Carolina. Though for some years in between he pursued studies in other parts of the United States, his roots are now deepin the soil once called home by the Peoria, Kaskaskia, Miami, and a host of other native nations. Originally trained as a painter and public artist, Kevin has published on such topics as racial bias in algorithmic systems, methods of interdisciplinary collaboration, and photography's role in nuclear weapons development and policy. Among his other commitments are service as a teacher in a local LGBTQ-affirming church congregation and life as the father of two children. He is currently Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Read More Read Less
