Kevin Doyle
Kevin Doyle was born and brought up in Cork. He holds aMasters in Chemistry from NUI (Cork), and worked for anumber of years in the chemical industrial sector in Irelandand the United States. He has been published in manylierary journals, including the Stinging Fly, the Cork Review,Southwords and the Cúirt Journal. He has been shortlisted fora number of awards, including the Hennessy Literary Awardsand the Seán Ó Faoláin Prize, and has won the TipperaryShort Story Award and the Michael McLaverty Short StoryAward. He has written extensively about Irish and radicalpolitics and, with Spark Deeley, he wrote the award-winningchildren’s picture book, The Worms that Saved the World.To Keep a Bird Singing is his first novel.
