Kelly Kading

Kelly KadingGrowing up in Midland, Texas, during the 1960s and 70s, Kelly Kading experienced the dynamic world of an oilfield town. Surrounded by dreamers and hard workers, he developed resilience and curiosity amidst the boom and bust cycles. His mother instilld in him the values of learning and logic (and how to make a mean pecan pie), while his father taught him hard work and integrity (and how to catch the big bass).Kading's educational path began in Midland Public Schools, continued at Texas Tech, and led to a Geology program at Colorado State University. Initially entering oil exploration in Dallas, the mid-1980s crash shifted his trajectory. After a stint owning a ski shop in Colorado, he transitioned to "Environmental Geology," working in groundwater cleanup for clients such as Texaco and Mobil in south Florida. His career took him across the country, eventually settling in Arizona. Now, Kading consults on environmental projects, explores the American Southwest's natural beauty, and visits National Parks (32 and counting!).Today, Kading manages a small consultancy focused on environmental assessment and cleanup projects, primarily within Arizona's infrastructure sector.
