KELLYTaylor Kelly was born in Central Kentucky and raised in various cities throughout the state. A graduate with honors from Eastern Kentucky University, she was a certified Elementary School teacher for two years before leaving to pursue other ventures including writing. It Never Needed To Be This Way is Taylor's first published work, featuring 18 poems drawn from her journey of coming out as lesbian, rejecting her Southern Baptist upbringing, going no-contact with her parents, and healing from decades of emotional and religious abuse.Taylor now resides in Cincinnati, Ohio and is working to launch her Life Coach business known as Emboldened, inspired by the coach who helped her escape the abuse and create a new life on her own terms.
