Keith BrowerBeing raised on the vast expanse of Eastern Alberta has shaped Keith's interest of nature, history and fascination of how society has changed. Many a Sunday afternoon has been spent on a nature walk that ended at the Kemah Ranch ruins. It has been facinating to look over the old foundations, the 'hieroglyphics' on the water trough, the remaining steel sticking out of large cement blocks that held the windmill, and the formed concrete where is it visible that the pour had been against log building materials. Along the foundation of the huge barn remains are the five stanchion stalls where the milk cows would have been tied. An afternoon can drift away rather quickly on one of these excursions and his children and grandchildren with their friends have become very engaged with the objects and artifacts on hand.His interests still include nature, history, painting, woodworking and drawing, in fact he loves life in general. The author lives with his wife Aileen on the family farm, the farm site that is a short distance from the Kemah Ranch Ruins and his interest has been peaked over the years by the knowledge that his grandmother's brother was married to a Mabey daughter.
