Keith BarnesKeith Barnes is an ornithologist and tour guide. His career began in the 1990s, when he worked in science and bird conservation in Africa. During this time, Keith earned a PhD in African Lark taxonomy and evolution and played a key role in lauching the first Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBA) program, as well as conducting threatened species assessments for BirdLife South Africa. Keith’s interests span evolution, ecology, and the intricate ways biological systems interact; he has co-authored several books on birds, and contributed to a range of both scientific and popular publications.
