Kathy Young

After working 38 years in elementary education as a first and second grade teacher, as well as a certified reading specialist, Kathy Young understands the need for quality literature that not only entertains children, but educate them. Her first book, Peter Abbitt, The Horse Who Thought He Was a Dog, introduces a working horse who has a playful side.The second installment in the Peter Abbitt series, Peter Abbitt and the Big Flood, injects heroism into a story that teaches the power of courage, kindness, and supporting others during difficult times. Kathy currently resides in Newport News, Virginia.
