K Eric Crook
Eric Crook comes from a family of authors and artists where creativity and self-expression are ingrained values. His development as a writer was built on coursework in creative writing, poetry, technical writing, and various forms of literature taen while completing a bachelor's in forest management and a master's in city and regional planning. The common theme in his approach to writing is verisimilitude-a story that sounds like the truth is compelling to read and a joy to write.
Eric has years of professional experience in technical writing, including numerous strategic planning studies and the concept plan for the Second Avenue subway for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. He has also published a book of prose and poetry, Greatest Hits (Stillwater Press) and his work has appeared in numerous anthologies.
Eric is also a significant supporter of his local community as a member of the City of East Providence planning board and the board of directors for the Association of Rhode Island Authors. He is recently remarried and has two grown children.
