Juri Dutta

Juri Dutta is presently working as a Research Associate in the Centre for Assamese Studies, Tezpur University, Assam. She was awarded PhD from Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh in 2007. She ha published articles, poems, short stories in English and Assamese in several leading magazines and newspapers of Assam. A collection of her short stories (in Assamese) was published in 2009. Her book titled Ethnicity in the Fiction of Lummer Dai and Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi: A New Historicist Approach was published in 2012. She is presently carrying out research activities in the area of Assamese fiction. Her areas of interest include creative writing, regional fictions of India, ethnic literature, comparative literature and translation studies.
