Judith ColquhounJudith Colquhoun was born in Queensland and raised in Sydney. She studied production at NIDA. Love and a job with ABC Television took her to Melbourne. She spent some time as a radio copywriter before joining the writing team for the television seria Bellbird. Thus began a forty year career of scriptwriting on shows such as The Sullivans, Twenty Good Years, Skyways, GP, Something in the Air, Flying Doctors, MDA, The Man From Snowy River, Blue Heelers, A Country Practice, Home and Away and Neighbours, and the children's series Cornflakes for Tea, Zoo Family and Ocean Girl. Judith is still (to her slight chagrin) best-known for killing Molly Jones in A Country Practice. Judith's television career resulted in five AWGIE awards and in 2007 she was a made a Life Member of the Australian Writers' Guild. She is married with two children and two grandchildren. In 2009 she gave up script-writing to work on Thicker Than Water. Importantly for the novel, she had been a script consultant in Naples for the television serial Un Posto al Sole. Her experiences there contributed to the plot of Thicker Than Water. Read More Read Less
