Josiah Henry Combs

Josiah Henry Combs (1886-1960) was an editor of The Transylvanian and a dedicated collector of Kentucky folk-songs. Hubert G. Shearin (1878-) was a Professor of English Philology at Transylvania University. Combs and Shearin's collaboration in comiling this syllabus showcases their passion for preserving and sharing the rich heritage of Kentucky's folk songs.
