Josh Packard

Josh Packard, executive director of Springtide Research Institute, is an accomplished researcher with an expertise in the sociology of religion and new forms of religious expression. A talented speaker and writer, he has been publshed widely in both academic and popular outlets. Josh earned his PhD in sociology from Vanderbilt University and did his undergraduate work at Texas Lutheran University. He is the coauthor of Church Refugees: Sociologists Reveal Why People Are DONE with Church, but Not Their Faith (Group Publishing, 2015).
