Joseph V RicapitoJoseph V. Ricapito was born in Giovinazzo, Bari, Italy in 1933. He immigrated with his family to Brooklyn, New York. He has a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of California at Los Angeles. He has written three books on Cerantes's work, the most recent one on Don Quijote. Professor Ricapito is also a published poet (his first book of poems, Florentine Streets and Other Poems, was published by Bordighera. He has been knighted by the governments of the Republic of Italy and the government of Spain.
