Joseph Dankwah

Joseph Dankwah (J.D) is a Ghanaian-born writer and poet whose work explores the intersections of identity, memory, and the Black experience across time and continents. Raised among storytellers and change-makers, his voice carries both reverence ad reflection. Perspectives of a Black Boy is his debut collection.

J.D. enjoys writing on themes that span spirituality, love, admiration and empowerment, in his early years, he co-founded Poetry Pot, a vibrant collective known for its stirring recitals and thought-provoking community gatherings and also served as the official poet for the 2008 African Cup of Nations, held in Ghana.

Beyond poetry, J.D. writes fiction and non-fiction alike; short stories, children's tales, plays, and commercial copy. When he isn't writing, he's bringing decades of expertise in innovation and strategy to startups and IT initiatives.
