John P LynchJohn P F Lynch has written several history, historical fiction books and a biography. Most books are in the Australian National Archives and in state libraries. The focus has been on colonial history in the 1850-1870 era, interrelated with an entertaning storyline. He has travelled extensively during his sixty-year career in aviation and has visited County Clare in Ireland and Cumbria in Northern England several times to research his books. John is a member of the Order of Australia, a Knight Hospitaller of the Order of St John of Jerusalem and a Fellow of the Royal Victorian Association of Honorary Justices. He is an ex-navy veteran and was the president of the Romsey/Lancefield RSL just on ten years. He is also a former president and secretary of the Romsey Football/Netball Club and a Life Member of both. He is a reserve member of the Macedon Ranges Legacy Group having served as a chairman of the group, board member of the Bendigo Club and long-standing Sergeant of Arms. His current main community involvement is as vice president of the Craigieburn War Memorial Remembrance Committee.
