John Moon Forker leads a hiking group that treks all over the Santa Monica Mountains, volunteers with an animal rescue organization helping dogs find their forever home, survived many winter blizzards near Chicago, once upon a time graduated from writing program at USC, is a tribe member of the L.A. Mudpeople, played softball for years with the Queen City Bombers in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has a fondness for run-on sentences.
