John Lockwood Kipling'John Lockwood Kipling' (1837-1911) was an English art teacher, illustrator and museum curator who spent most of his adult life in India. In 1875, Kipling was appointed the Principal of Mayo School of Arts, Lahore, and curator of the original Lahore useum. He was the father of the author Rudyard Kipling, whose books he illustrated, along with those of others like Flora Annie Steel.
