John H WilliamsJohn H. Williams, PhD (University of Wisconsin-Madison), is a retired professor of French language and literature. A college valedictorian, Woodrow Wilson Fellow, United States Steel Fellow, and Fulbright Advanced Teaching Fellow, he taught at three public universities and three private universities over a span of twenty-four years. The author of scholarly articles on French literature and French pedagogy, he retired at forty-eight to devote himself to volunteer work and his many personal interests. Williams has been married for forty-nine years and has two sons and two grandchildren. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, now living in McKinney, Texas, he is active at church as a Bible teacher and has also taught ESL at the local public library. He enjoys reading non-fiction, improving his Spanish, playing chess, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
