John G MacKenzieJohn G. MacKenzie has had a pencil in his hand for as long as he can remember. His mother told him that when he was little, there was a commercial artist living in the downstairs apartment who would sit him on his knee and teach him how to draw stickpeople. In High School, he was shy and introverted, but he was lucky enough to cross paths with a young English teacher named Brian Van Norman who asked him if he would be interested in joining the Drama Club. This was the best thing that could have happened to him, he says. John went to eht University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, for one year and studied acting. He then decided that he was more interested in writing and directing, and he went to Humber College in Toronto for Film and Television Production and graduated with honors.
