John Dougherty John Dougherty is an award-winning author of children’s books including There’s a Pig Up My Nose (winner of Oscar’s Book Prize 2018); the critically-acclaimed Stinkbomb & Ketchup-Face series; and the poetry collection, Dinoaurs & Dinner-Ladies. Others of his books have been shortlisted for the Branford Boase Award and the Ottakar’s (now Waterstones) Children’s Books Prize. John is a former teacher, and was one of the first Patrons of Reading in the UK, and is a founding patron of the Chipping Norton Literary Festival and a former chair of the Society of Authors’ Children’s Writers and Illustrators Group.
