John Burrows
John Burrows OBE HonRCM has been involved in music all his life. He has promoted and organised over 2000 concerts and 30 major Music Festivals throughout the UK and Europe, working with many of the world's leading orchestras and artists including uciano Pavarotti, Leonard Bernstein, Yehudi Menuhin, Andre Previn, Frank Sinatra, and Miles Davis. He was also creator of the Capital Radio Music Festivals in London between 1982 and 1995, and Director of the Classic FM Summer Music Festival in the UK in 1997 and 1998.An Honorary Member of the Royal College of Music in London, John has done extensive music education work and many events for them. He has also written many articles on music and was editor-in-chief of DK's Eyewitness Companion to Classical Music and The Complete Classical Music Guide. John Burrows was awarded the OBE in 1991 by the Queen for services to music in the UK.
