Joe Kember
Joe Kember is an Associate Professor in Film at the University of Exeter. He is the co-author of Early Cinema 1895-1914: From Factory Gate to Film Factory (Wallflower, 2004) with Simon Popple and author of Marketing Mdernity: Victorian Popular Shows and Early Cinema (UEP, 2009).
He writes extensively for journals relating to early cinema, including The Velvet Light Trap, Film Studies, Early Popular Visual Culture and Living Pictures and is a Series Editor for Exeter Studies in Film History.
