Joanne MarsdenJoanne Marsden is from Kapiti, New Zealand, with many years experience working with children in a variety of childcares, camps and volunteering overseas. She has a passion for being a creative storyteller and reader which started at a young age. In 220 during the national lock-down she wrote her first book "Little mouse, little mouse", which was published for young children as a way of encouraging them to explore the world around them. Her second book "Hahana and the Piwakawaka" is about a young Maori girl and her grandmother exploring the forest and meeting a fantail and other native birds. Published in 2023.Her business Fantail Nature School was founded in 2017 in Wellington.Which gives children the opportunity to reach their potential, using the international Forest School philosophy.
