Joann DesilvaRobert DeSilva was born in Long Island, New York to a Mexican father and an Irish mother. When he was sixteen years old and JoAnn was fourteen or fifteen, they met for the first time. JoAnn is a very talented artist and an exceptional swimmer. They wre married on October 25, 1962, when she was nineteen and he was twenty-one.
