Joan Wick PelletierJoan ("Jo-an") Wick Pelletier grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts, and attended Amherst Regional High School . She graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, majoring in mathematics and "minoring" in music. After obtaining graduate degees from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Joan became a University professor and administrator at York University in Toronto and later at theState University of New York in Albany, where she was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
