Joan Hickson
Joan Hickson (1906-1998) was an actress who appeared on stage in several plays and in over seventy films. She is best known for playing Miss Marple in the BBC television series, a role that was encouraged by Agatha Christie, who wrote, " hoe you will play my dear Miss Marple" after seeing Hickson in Christie's Appointment with Death.
