Jo Galloway

Jo Galloway has worked in health and care for nearly forty years. She qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1988 and has worked in a number of clinical specialties, including orthopaedics, intensive care, neurosciences, rehabilitation and the care ofolder people, Her career has spanned acute care, community care, practice development, higher education and commissioning. She has held management and leadership positions at junior, middle, senior and executive levels. in the NHS. She has worked at local and regional levels in the NHS and has also contributed to work streams at national level.

Jo spent ten years of her career working as a Clinical Commissioning Group Chief Nursing Officer where her portfolios included leadership, quality and patient safety, safeguarding and continuing healthcare. Some of her previous roles have included deputy director of nursing, nurse consultant, lecturer practitioner , senior and principal lecturer. Jo′s areas of clinical expertise and publication include rehabilitation, care of older people and leadership. In 2012, Jo was awarded a leadership scholarship by the Florence Nightingale Foundation and Burdette Trust for Nursing.
