Jim MitchellDr Jim Mitchell was born in 1946 and taught in the History Department at the University of Melbourne in the 1970s and 1980s. His other books are The French Legislative Assembly of 1791 and The moon seems upside down (Letters of love and war 1939-45).He was for some years on the staff of the British Library in London and wrote widely on the history of 18th-century printing and publishing.
