Jim CoolingJim Cooling started his career with the Royal Air Force as a system designer. After 12 years of service, he studied a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, then went to work with the British Aircraft Corporation and worked on naval eletronic control systems. He spent his next 20 years in academic research at Loughborough University and also got his Ph.D. in real-time embedded systems. In 1998, Jim left the university to start his own company, Lindentree Associates.
