Jayanta Kumar GhoshDr. Jayanta Kumar Ghosh is working as Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department (Geomatics Engineering Group) of Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He was born in Guwahati, Assam in the year 1962. He did his bachelor degree in Civi Engineering from Bengal Engineering College and Science University in the year 1984 and Master of Technology in Civil Engineering with specialization in Surveying, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in the year 1990. He did his doctor of philosophy degree in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in the year 1997. He bagged many national (National Scholar 1977, Ist prize by NRDF 1984 etc.) and international (DAAD fellowship 2007, Erasmus Mundus fellow 2009 etc.) laurels in his academic career. He is engaged in teaching, research and consultancy works in Geomatics engineering for more than 24 years.
