Janice Terry Janice Terry is Professor of History at Eastern Michigan University with a specialty in the modern Middle East. She received her Ph.D. in history from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She is the author of The Wfd, 1919-1952: Cornerstone of Egyptian Political Power; Mistaken Identity: Arab Stereotypes in Popular Writing; and U.S. Foreign Policy in the Middle East: The Role of Lobbies and Special Interest Groups. She has also contributed to numerous anthologies and journals. She is the co-editor of The Arab Studies Quarterly and has lived and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and Africa. She is co-author, along with Goff and Upshur, of the textbook World History; co-editor, along with Moss and Upshur, of The Twentieth Century: Readings in Global History; and co-editor, along with Upshur and Schroeder, of the seven-volume Encyclopedia of World History.
