Janice BarberJanice Barber was born in Ontario, Canada and raised in a household with strong Filipino traditions. Due to the commonly held belief that art is just for fun, she quickly learned that it was not a career worth pursuing. However, Janice was unable to eny this passion. No matter where her path took her, she always found herself back at the easel, drawing and painting. This was her realm.Within several years of weaving in and out of unfulfilling jobs and setbacks, Janice immersed herself in formal studies from completing Art Fundamentals at Sheridan College, a diploma in graphic design at Ontario College of Art and Design, and finally back at Sheridan College for her most sought-out degree in Illustration.Her love and pursuit of art has paid off as her illustrations and designs can be found in children's story books, animal portraits, dreamy landscapes, high tea menus and her favourite desserts.She is now settled in Paris, Ontario, in a century-old home in the country that often needs a bit of patching up; it is shared by chickens, cats and a goofy golden retriever. At the centre of the creative chaos of everyday life are her husband and daughter who are learning how to overcome the challenges of living with ADHD and two sons who are complete opposites. It is loud and oftentimes messy, creating the necessity to embrace compassion for one another, along with the awareness of neurodivergence and the importance of being united. Life is full, and no two days are ever the same!
