Jane RiesJane is a passionate environmentalist living in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Some people have ordinary grass lawns; she has an oasis of plants with lots of hiding spaces for bugs and insects. At an early age, Jane learned to garden, draw, write storie about magical dragons and play trumpet. She planned to study music at university, however, she had a change of heart. She graduated with a degree in visual communications from The Ohio State University. Jane worked as a copywriter and graphic designer for many years until an opportunity arose to work at an award-winning library. She now enjoys being surrounded by books and inspiring people of all ages to read. Jane is currently writing and illustrating her own children's picture books.
