James W PerryJim Perry is Campus Executive Officer and Dean Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin, Fox Valley. Prior to his retirement in 2011, he also was Professor of Biological Sciences. Dr. Perry began his university education at Fox Valley's sister campus,U.W. Marathon County in Wausau, WI. He received his B.S. (Zoology and Secondary Education), M.S. (Botany and Zoology), and Ph.D. (Botany and Plant Pathology) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His Ph.D. thesis was an ultrastructural study of the infection process and disease progression of a major fungal disease of potatoes. From 1983 to 1993, he was a faculty member at Frostburg State University. Dr. Perry and his spouse Joy reside in rural Winnebago County, WI, and spend as much time as possible at their cabin in far northern Wisconsin, seven miles south of Lake Superior.
