James BaughmanJames Baughman, PhD, is a lifelong educator with a special interest in religion, applied ethics, and character education. The eldest of 10 children raised in a middle-class Catholic family in the United States, he did his undergraduate studies at Bendictine College in Atchison, Kansas. He holds a PhD from Drew University in the field of religion and society, in addition to advanced degrees in physics, religious education, and political science.He has presented "Cultivating Character" seminars in the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, the Balkan states, Scandinavia, parts of Europe, the Philippines, and Zambia.In 1996, he produced a video lecture series titled "The Human Condition," which explores the theological foundations of character education and how these can be used as practical guides for people to make meaningful decisions in their lives.Dr. Baughman lives in the north of Scotland with his wife and best friend, Lorraine, who holds a PhD in psychology.
