James Alan CarnerJames Alan Carner, his 7th great grandfather was Jean Gaspard Kernier, born in Lorraine, France in the year 1680 and was laid to rest somewhere near Manikin Town, VA. in 1729. Jean's father was Gaspard Jean Gardnier, born in Algace, Lorraine France i 1654-1658. They changed last names to avoid capture by King Louis (the sun King) who was attempting to obliterate the Huguenots (French Protestants) during the Reformation. James Alan Carner was born in 1942, son of Charles Wylie Carner and Frances Elizabeth (Rankin) Carner. He has written many magazine articles and is the published author of "Isaiah Cry," published in 2010. He and his late wife Karen served as Missionaries to Mexico from 1985 through 1995.
