I grew up in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana, surrounded by mountains, animals, and wide open spaces that still inspire my imagination today.When I was little, my mom would read to me all the time. She made stories feel warm, eciting, and full of life. Reading didn't always come easy to me because of dyslexia, but she helped me fall in love with stories in my own way through pictures, feelings, and creativity. That's something I carry with me in everything I create.I now work in special education, where I've learned just how important it is for every child to feel included and connected to stories, no matter how they learn. That's a big part of why I started writing children's books.I live in Montana with my husband, and my family including my 93-year-old grandfather means the world to me.
